Tracks > Track 5: Entrepreneurial ecosystem and responsible and social innovationEntrepreneurial ecosystem and responsible and social innovationToday, entrepreneurs increasingly belong to dynamic ecosystems with which they interact in order to invest in various types of innovation.Indeed, the ecosystem approach highlights performance resulting from the interactions and synergies between actors, infrastructures, and institutional frameworks, brought together within multi-level governance mechanisms (Isenberg, 2010; Spigel, 2017; Stam, 2015; Moulaert & Sekia, 2003).These configurations notably influence the emergence and development of new social, responsible, and economic practices, some of which relate to social and/or responsible innovations. However, the concepts of social innovation (SI) and responsible innovation (RI) remain quite broad and insufficiently defined, leading to varied interpretations within the scientific community (Casadella et al., 2025).The IR (Innovative Research) falls within the scope of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and refers to the three pillars of economic profitability, environmental preservation, and social justice—principles formulated within the framework of the Triple Bottom Line: People, Planet, Profit (Temri, 2018).The IS (Innovative Social) is linked to the field of the social and solidarity economy (SSE) and stems from a dynamic of social mobilization emanating from local actors (Richez-Battesti & Itçaina, 2022).In all cases, these types of innovations generated by entrepreneurship foster territorial solidarity, optimize local resources, and address social, environmental, and economic expectations.
